What can IVSS do for a forwarder?

Will IVSS contact my client?
No. We quote and invoice you, send the documents and updates to you, and deal with your client only if you ask us to. Your client relationship stays with you.
What kind of jobs do forwarders send us?
One recent example: two 1980s Mercedes fire engines of 12.6 and 13.5 tonnes, booked by a freight forwarder for its client and shipped by RORO from Bremerhaven to Walvis Bay, Namibia. They sailed on 9 April and arrived on 29 May 2026.
Can you handle oversized and static loads?
Yes. Loads too wide, tall or heavy for a closed container, and static machinery on routes with no RORO service, travel on 20ft or 40ft flat racks. Send the length, width, height and weight and we email you a price for the load.

Yes. We act as a RORO, container and flat rack desk for forwarders who need vehicles or machinery moved for their clients.
Will you contact my client directly?
No, unless you ask us to. We quote, invoice and update you only.
Are you a member of BIFA and FIATA?
Yes. IVSS is a member of BIFA and FIATA.
Can you ship machinery that cannot be driven?
Yes, on a flat rack or in a container, depending on its size and weight. Static loads cannot go by RORO unless loaded on a roll trailer where the route offers one.
Do you offer forwarder rates?
Yes. Tell us your regular routes and volumes and we agree rates in advance, with monthly invoicing on an approved trade account.
